Ben Nelsen is a multidisciplinary designer based in Pittsburgh, PA. He specializes in visual identities, printed matter, and website design/development. He has worked with a broad range of clients and organizations operating in architecture, education, government, hospitality, healthcare, law, and technology.

Outside of commissioned work, Ben collaborates with PSEUDO FRIENDS, a small-scale independent publisher of various print-based media. Together, the friends have released five issues of the free-themed, multilingual art and literature zine SUNDAY PAPER. The zine strives to create an equitable platform for creative expression by publishing the work of international and incarcerated creatives.

Ben’s most recent work has interrogated the complex relationship between humankind and civil time. Through the juxtaposition of original image manipulation and candid typography, he hopes to trouble traditional notions of temporality. Each project’s process, form, and function are contingent upon its underlying communicative needs.

Ben received his BFA in Graphic Design from West Virginia University in .
