Ben Nelsen is a graphic designer based in Pittsburgh, PA. He specializes in visual identities, printed matter, and website development. He explores the union of fluid grid systems, candid typography, image manipulation, and contemporary photography. He has freelanced or worked full-time for a variety of clients, studios, and organizations operating in engineering, education, government, hospitality, healthcare, law, and technology.
Outside of commercial work, Ben collaborates with PSEUDO FRIENDS, a small-scale independent publisher of print-based media. Together, the friends have released five issues of the free-themed, multilingual art and literature zine SUNDAY PAPER. The zine strives to create an equitable platform for creative expression by publishing the work of international and incarcerated creatives.
Ben’s ongoing personal work examines the relationship between humankind and time. He hopes to challenge traditional notions of temporality.
